Emotionally crushed and there’s no ducking that
Every way to create another past is a struggle back
For once it’s a fact I lacked enough to tug away
No matter what I say everything still hurts all the same
Forgot who prayed and who stayed around no matter what

Been told so many times to calm down but never got shown how
Pride came to the forefront and questions never got asked out loud
Kept a select few around and bowed to none for any reason
